Kaziranga National Park
Kaziranga National Park in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of the state of Assam in India. It is the oldest park in assam covers an area of 430 KM along the river Brahmaputra on the North and the Karbi Anglong hills on the South in India. It was declared a Tiger Reserve in 2006 and boasts of the highest density of tigers among protected areas of the world. The park also records the highest tiger density anywhere in India, but due to the tall grasslands, seeing a Tiger in Kaziranga is a more thrilling and fruitful experience here. There are several ‘ranges’, but the central and most accessible one of generally offers the best viewing chances for elephants, rhinos and swamp deer along with plenty of bird life, including greater adjutant storks.
