Masai Mara National Reserve
Maasai Mara National Reserve is in the south west of Kenya. It was established in the 1961 to protect wildlife from hunters in Kenya. The Masai Mara covers area about of 1,812 KM2. The Maasai Mara is not a National Park, but rather a National Reserve belonging to the Maasai people and administered by the local county councils. The Mara is world famous for its vast assemblages of plains game, together with their associated predators. It is one of the best known and most popular reserves in Africa.
