Anshi National Park
Anshi National Park is situated in Uttara Kannada district, in the Indian state of Karnataka. It wads established in 2013 and total area about of 250 km². The Anshi National Park, Karnataka is one of the well known national parks in India. A section of Dandeli wildlife sanctuary was carved out to form the Anshi National Park. The forest area was known for its manganese in the past, the mining for which resulted in wildlife moving away from the forest. The Park contains deep valleys, steep hills and rich forests. The topography of the park consists of deep valleys, steep hill slopes, and thick evergreen and semi-evergreen forests. The area has semi-evergreen and evergreen forests, and the river Kali and its tributary Kaneri dances through the Park. Park Provides rest house facilities rest house facilities the same may be booked in advance through Deputy Conservator of Forests (wildlife) Office at Dandeli. A wide range of flora and fauna are found in the Anshi National Park. The species like black panthers, elephants, tigers, deer, wild boars and other animals in the Park.
